2024 Year-End Newsletter

We are officially an indepedent 501c3 non-profit! Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in helping us get to this point. If you’d like to learn more, shoot me an email or text, and I would love to connect. While our independent non-profit status is new, we will continue to share the Good News in declaration and demonstration.

Thank you for supporting us so that we could be a constant presence on the streets of Hartford and in the hallways of so many assisted living facilities. It is an honor and privilege to be allowed to have such a beautiful call, to prepare a table for the weary and outcast,  the sick and the elderly, the lost and forgotten.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans & widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

2024 BY THE NUMBERS

VOLUNTEERS: 200
TOTAL HOURS:           1,500
MEALS SERVED:         5,000

Everyone served with love in all sorts of weather. We supplied thousands of pairs of underwear, sports bras and socks to restore dignity. Toothbrushes and toothpaste helped folks who had no access to preventative dental care. Tears were shed as we supplied personal hygiene products to homeless women. Hundreds of new hats and gloves fought off frostbite to those waiting for the no-freeze shelters to open.

COMMUNITY CHURCHES GREW!

2023 Churches:                 5
2024 Church Plants:        4

Total Churches:                 9

We expanded the Kingdom and planted four new Community Churches, bringing our total to nine! Pearl was converted and claimed Jesus after more than eighty years of life. Mary remains strong in her faith well into her 90’s. Michelle and other staff members were able to remain in Christian Community even though they work every Sunday.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

You sent me off to within thirty kilometers of the front line in Ukraine to support Toma and Arik, Julia and others and to South Korea to receive and give encouragement to evangelists from around the world. “You are the first people to visit us since the war began.”

JESUS STORIES

Many met Jesus for the first time. Jessica was living in her car with her son, working wherever she could to keep the car running and warm. After months of coming to Street Church, she finally said ‘Yes’ to Jesus and was baptized in the City Hall fountain. She continues to join us. Dozens of others came forward to be baptized in the City Hall fountain.

Emerson, an elementary-aged girl with an adult-sized heart, came to volunteer with her mom and grandfather. She was so moved by The Spirit, she decided to join Jesus as well and was baptized.

We were a family for the chronically isolated. Angel’s brain tumor continues to eat away at his life while the disease of addiction tries to swallow his hope. He sleeps alone under a freeway overpass, and wanders in every week to let us know he is still alive. Henry, fresh out of jail after 38 years, had neither friends, nor jacket, nor direction. We provided all and in abundance just because we were there.

We saw healings of tumors in Maria, and the blood cancer in Jeff controlled. We helped get an apartment for Jose, and restored lives for addicts. We witnessed the life turnaround in Katia; I met her six years ago when she was 8 ½ months pregnant sleeping outside on a bench. She showed up this year in Army fatigues, beaming, to tell me she was doing well.
