“When a man (or woman) who has crept along for years in conventional Christianity suddenly zooms into spiritual alertness, becomes aggressive in the battle of the Lord, and has a quenchless zeal for the lost, there is a reason for it…”
Leonard Ravenhill
Why Revival Tarries
“Anybody else?”….
We always ask this at Street Church after someone is baptized, knowing full well the Holy Spirit has stirred another’s soul to surrender the person’s trust and obedience to Jesus Christ. This past weekend, two others came forward and a third who wanted to recommit her life to Jesus.
I shared this news at Valley Simsbury Church the next day, and after the service there was the inevitable question…”what do you do for followup in discipleship?
… “I do as Jesus did. I said before baptism you are entering into community with Jesus and us his followers. Come back and be with us and learn."

Service
We had an amazing Saturday as three people came forward to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus! Rejoice with us! We had a great crew with folks from VOX, Wintonbury, 180 Life Church, and others. Chi Chi stepped forward and led the service with passion and authority as a follower of Jesus. This is where the unction of this church comes from. We are simply people who had handed over control to the Omnipotent God.
After the sermon, the Spirit fell and we had three baptisms and one renewal. God is amazing.
The Jacob’s brought sandwiches and fruit and my wife made some as well. Please do jump in and help out if you can.
See you Saturday!
..from the Community Churches…
Amazing week with our community churches as Eric from PA joined us. He was blown away at how God is using his people and stirring up the church. This is true revival, something I had honestly not been contending for in prayer as I am now. Breath LIFE into the Bride!
I was blessed to watch my daughters ministering with Laura-the-intern in one of the assisted living facilities. They knew each other from their days in AWANA Days (youth church thing) and in serving with the Hartford Project. I don’t simply “let” youth paint walls or pull weeds or hand out tracks. I teach them to preach and share the Gospel, to pray for healing, and to participate in worship. It is glorious.
The old are rising up.
The Youth are rising up.
Those who are hungry for God are being filled. The dry bones are left in the valley, the others are Awakening.
More, Lord Jesus. More.
